Undeclared expensive cosmetics and an “Audi A6” with cigarette stash were confiscated on the border with Hungary (PHOTOS)

These days, at the customs posts "Tisa" and "Vylok" of the Transcarpathian customs, inspectors together with the working group of the Department for Counteracting Customs Offenses and Smuggling of the State Customs Service and border guards confiscated undeclared and concealed goods and a car Audi-6 totalling UAH 380 thousand. 
In the first case, a 52-year-old resident of Chernivtsi, returning from EU across the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, in the "red corridor" of the customs post "Tisa" tried to avoid taxation on expensive goods – 140 packages of professional cosmetics for skin peeling "PQAge Evolution Plus" by the Italian trade mark "Promoitalia". 14 packages of this product are almost 500 dollars in online stores, so 140 in packages are about 5 thousand dollars, while the maximum value of goods allowed by law to be moved across the border is 500 euros. 
Therefore, a report was drawn up against the driver under Article 472 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. The exact value of the seized goods will be esatblished by an expert. 
In the other case, a 26-year-old resident of Uzhgorod, leaving Ukraine in a car AUDI A6, at the customs post "Vylok" in the "green corridor" denied carrying any goods that are subject to mandatory written declaration or concealed from customs control. 
However, customs officers inspected the car in the box for in-depth inspection and found 280 packs of cigarettes "Philip Morris" with excise stamps of Ukraine hidden from customs control. The man hid the cigarettes in the metal doorsteps of the car. 
According to the Uzhgorod resident, he bought and hid cigarettes in order to transport them to Hungary and sell them at higher prices.  
Thus, he committed actions aimed at moving goods concealed from customs control, ie using specially made caches in order to illegally move goods across the customs border of Ukraine. 
These actions have signs of violation of customs rules provided for in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. The value of the seized cigarettes is almost UAH 10 thousand, and the value of the 2007 AUDI A6 is about UAH 190 thousand.
