Transcarpathian received drugs by mail

A methadone-like drug was seized by Uzhgorod police officers from a 35-year-old resident of the regional center.
The substance was sent for examination. The police opened criminal proceedings over the incident.
Yesterday, December 26, at 19:27, a criminal police officer of the Uzhgorod department reported that on Zankovetska street, near the post office, a prohibited, possibly narcotic substance had been found on a man. A 35-year-old previously convicted Uzhgorod resident received a parcel by mail.
When inspecting the cardboard box, law enforcement officers found a plastic bag containing methadone-like narcotics.
The police found out that the Uzhgorod resident had made the order through a messenger channel. Law enforcement officers are now establishing the sender of the parcel and the purpose of ordering the substance.
The contents of the parcel were seized and sent for examination.
