Transcarpathian deputies will ask law enforcement officers to look into the reconstruction of the checkpoint

As we reported, according to the statement of the  Reuters, the European Union is shutting down the project for the modernization of border checkpoints to Ukraine.

Today, on February 22, during the session of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, the chairman of the Regional Council Mykhailo Rivis, after discussing the state of affairs regarding the shutdown of the funding program of the project for the reconstruction of the checkpoints on the border with Ukraine for EU grants, said that the Regional Council would ask law enforcement agencies to respond to it appropriately.

During the session, the acting deputy head of Transcarpathian Customs office Yatsevych said that the information on the shutdown of the EU program is not true: "This is not the case, since there is no official decision. The issue is only being discussed," – Yatsevych said.
