Transcarpathian activist started an argument with the Deputy Prime Minister – about our garbage

Transcarpathian activist Vitaliy Dyachuk continued the dialogue with the Government about our environment.

He published pictures of the landfill near Rakhiv, in response to which the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Valeriy Voschevsky ordered the responsible services to immediately restore order.

However, Vitaliy did not stop on that and suggests the officials to take other steps besides just telling others what to do.

Here is what he wrote in his facebook:

I would like to see a list of the responsible people (about 100 A4 sheets of small print) who have fouled up the district.

I really like such general and vague phrases that will result in a pile of formal replies about the lack of funds, lack of space for landfill, unidentified individuals who take out garbage and another Saturday clean-up involving public sector workers.

Valeriy Voschevsky, you better:

1. Initiate the review of the State Architecture and Construction Regulations requirements for mountainous terrain.

2. Motivate the management at the regional and district levels to return to waste management problem because they started to forget about it again.

3. As the Deputy Prime Minister on infrastructure, pay attention to the infrastructure of the region, the district as a tourist facility. Private investors – developed infrastructure – the culture of waste recycling – attention of tourists – motivation for locals not to litter – development of the district."

Finally, the activist says: Dilove is not the only one, and suggests to see other pictures.
