The strategy of the development of Transcarpathia for 2021 – 2027 was approved by the regional deputies

Today, during the session of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, the deputies approved a number of decisions. 
Transcarpathian Region Development Strategy for 2021 – 2027 (hereinafter referred to as the Strategy 2027) is a document that defines trends and major problems of socio-economic development of the region, long-term and short-term objectives, priorities in the development of the region for the corresponding period, main tasks, stages and mechanisms of their implementation, monitoring system and performance evaluation.

The program analyzes in detail the current state of development of the Transcarpathian region, outlines the basic scenarios of economic development and development of various industries.
Aims and objectives of the act
The strategy is aimed at creating conditions for dynamic, balanced development of the region by ensuring social and economic unity, increasing competitiveness, intensifying economic activity, and increasing the well-being of the population. In particular, intensification of economic development of all branches of the economic complex of the region, increase of their investment and innovative component, increase of industrial and agricultural production volumes, further development of small and medium-sized business, ensuring financial rehabilitation of the real sector.
General description and main provisions of the act
SWOT analysis of the region’s development revealed the need to concentrate the attention of the regional authorities on the achievement of five strategic goals: preservation and development of human and social capital, acceleration of competitiveness and innovation of the regional economy, building local knowledge economies and smart specialization, environmental protection, environmentally balanced and rational use of natural resources and spatial harmony, ensuring sustainable development of rural and mountainous territories in the context of systematic reforms.
