The Parliament approved the statement of recognition of Russia the aggressor country and calls on the parliaments of foreign states and international organizations to recognize the Russian Federation the aggressor country, to increase pressure on it, and to recognize "DPR" and "LPR" terrorist organizations.
At the extraordinary meeting on Tuesday, 271 of 289 registered deputies voted for the decision.
"The Parliament recognizes the Russian Federation the aggressor country and calls on Ukraine’s international partners to prevent impunity for crimes against humanity committed since the beginning of the Russian aggression against Ukraine," – the statement of the Parliament says.
In the statement, it is stressed that the Ukrainian parliament recognizes Russia the aggressor country that supports terrorism and blocks the activity of the UN Security Council, thus threatening international peace and security.
