The indictment against a man, who abused his mother, has been approved in Transcarpathia

The indictment was sent to the Perechyn District Court for consideration on the merits. 
 The Perechyn department of the Uzhgorod local prosecutor’s office approved and sent to court the indictment against a 37-year-old local resident who systematically committed psychological and physical domestic violence (Article 126-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). 
Thus, during the investigation, they collected evidence that the suspect had been intentionally, systematically abusing his mother, intimidating and threatening her with physical violence, Roman Demkiv, the acting head of the Perechyn department of Uzhgorod local prosecutor’s office, reported.  
Before that, from March to June 2019, the man three times had been brought to administrative responsibility for domestic violence (Art.173-2 of the CAO), but the administrative reports did not change the suspect’s behavior in relation to his mother. 
The indictment was sent to the Perechyn District Court for consideration on the merits. 
To note: 
According to the sanction of the article in question, the suspect faces punishment in the form of community service for a period of one hundred and fifty to two hundred and forty hours, or arrest for up to six months or restriction if liberty for up to five years, or imprisonment for up to two years.
