Today, about 2 am, one of the patrol units consisting of the city police and the National Guard officers noticed two suspicious youths in the city center (near the "Zakarpattya" hotel).
It was evident that they were not local – they were trying to cross the road in a dangerous place, pulling a large suitcase…
Suspicions of law enforcement officers were confirmed when they had checked the documents. The men were "guests" from distant lands: one was a 26-year-old Russian citizen, from Karelia, the other one was a 36-year-old resident of the occupied Crimea, the city of Evpatoria.
During the examination of their luggage, the police found a notebook with suspicious entries. In particular, there were some nicknames and passwords, as well as detailed instructions on the use of explosives, F-1 and RGD-5 type grenades, production of psychotropic substances. Both intruders were detained and handed over to the regional office of the Security Service of Ukraine, the site of the Regional Police Department informed.
