This was agreed by the director of the Department of Secondary and Elementary Education of the MES Yuriy Kononenko and the acting Director General of The LEGO Foundation Kasper Otosson Kanstrup (Denmark), the schoollife.org.ua informs.
The parties discussed many issues of further cooperation between the MES and The LEGO Foundation, including expanding the network of pre-schools and educational complexes involved in the LEGO-design project and implementation of the program in elementary school. Separately, Yuriy Kononenko and Mr. Kanstrup discussed the results of the project in preschool educational institutions of Ukraine.
During the visit to Ukraine, Casper Otosson Kanstrup visited several pre-schools in Kyiv involved in LEGO-design programs "Support Education". He noted the high level of children’s design skills and creativity of Ukrainian teachers.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and The LEGO Foundation was prolonged at the end of 2016.
