The police opened a criminal proceeding over the traffic accident involving two motorcycles and a car near the village of Chinadiyevo. Three people, who were injured in the accident, residents of the village of Koson in Beregovo district, were hospitalized.
On May 13, at 14:50, on the Kyiv-Chop highway, near the village of Chinadiyevo, there was an accident with victims. The police found that the accident happened involving two motorcycles and a car Mercedes.
At the accident scene, the police found out that the driver of the car was moving in the direction of Mukachevo and, while overtaking another vehicle, drove onto the oncoming lane, where he collided with the motorcycles.
As a result of the accident, three people were injured: two motorcycle drivers aged 50 and 55, and an 48-year-old female passenger. The victims are in the local hospital. All of them are residents of the village of Koson in Beregovo district.
The vehicles were taken to the police impound lot. Currently, a criminal proceeding has been opened under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, ie, violation of the traffic rules, which caused grave bodily harm to the victims.
The driver of the Mercedes was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. It was found out that at the moment of the accident he was in a state of intoxication, the alcohol content in his blood was 2.18 ppm. The choice of pre-trial restraint against the suspect is being decided. In the course of the investigation, the police will find out all the circumstances and the cause of the accident.
