On Sunday, October 27, at 18.00 the Transcarpathian Academic Regional Ukrainian Musical and Drama Theater opens a new season with an unexpected premiere.
Each theater has productions that make up its "golden fund" and have been its "calling card" for many years. For the Transcarpathian Academic Regional Ukrainian Musical and Drama Theater, such production is "Night Watchman and Laundress" based on the play by the famous Latvian playwright Pauls Putnins. In 2002, the film version was made in Latvia.
Produced by Oleksandr Sarkisyants at the Transcarpathian Musical and Drama Theater, "Night Watchman and Laundress" has gone through several generations of actors. Art directors were famous Uzhgorod artists – Igor Paneiko and Olena Kondratyuk. And several decades after the first production, the beloved performance about love and responsibility is coming back in a new interpretation. Honored Artist of Ukraine, director Mykhailo Fischenko revived it on the stage with a new generation of actors. Therefore, on Sunday, the well-known and new faces of the Transcarpathian Musical and Drama Theater will perform in the eternal "drama of youth".
And at 17.00, at the traditional pre-premiere press conference, the theater management will tell about the creative plans for the new season.After all, the theater plans to present as many as four premieres by the New Year.
