The Days of China are being celebrated in Uzhgorod: they started with a photo exhibition

The People’s Republic of China is a world leader in many areas, so we will facilitate contacts, visits of our and Chinese businessmen to make investments in Uzhgorod, Transcarpathia, Bohdan Andriyev, the mayor of Uzhgorod, said at the opening of the photo exhibition of the achievements over 70 years since the formation of the People’s Republic of China.
Bohdan Andriyiv noted that today is the second day of the official visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Ukraine Du Wei and guests from China to Transcarpathia, yesterday they were shown many infrastructure, culture facilities of Uzhgorod.  
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine Du Wei, the First Deputy Head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Ivan Duran, the Chairman of the Board of the International Non-Governmental Organization "Cultural and Research Center of Ukraine and China LanHua" Yuriy Kotyk and others also spoke at the grand opening of the exhibition.
Mr Ambassador said the exhibition reflects how China has become one of the most economically successful countries in the short history of 70 years. According to him, the Chinese party intends to invest in Transcarpathia in wood processing industry, joint organization of resorts using elements of Chinese medicine, the development of new types of energy, paving, telecommunication services and more. It is also planned to involve Transcarpathian and Chinese students in the mutual study of languages and cultures.  
The festivities were attended by businessmen from Uzhgorod, scientists, artists, and youth. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine Du Wei thanked the First Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Ivan Duran and the Mayor of Uzhgorod for their assistance in organizing the Days of China in Uzhgorod.
The photo exhibition presents the most significant events in the history of the country, socio-economic achievements, cooperation in various projects and with many other countries. 
Today, at 17:00, the concert on the occasion the 70th anniversary of the formation of the People’s Republic of China will be held in the hall of the Regional Music and Drama Theater.
