A new van and dry firewood: Svalyava orphanage will receive financial assistance from the Hungarian government

Today, November 28, at the Consulate General of Hungary in the city of Uzhgorod, an unprecedented event took place – the solemn signing of the declaration of intent between the Svalyava Regional Children’s Home and the diplomatic mission, which provides for financial assistance from the Hungarian government for the needs of the orphanage and improvement of living conditions for hundreds of abandoned young children.

The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal, the first deputy chairman of the Regional Council Yosyp Borto, the General Consul of Hungary in Uzhgorod Jozsef Buhajla, the deputy director of the Department of Health of the RSA Yelizaveta Birov, the chief doctor of the Regional Children’s Home Volodymyr Beyresh, media workers and diplomats took part in the event.

  

Hennadiy Moskal in his speech sincerely thanked the Government of Hungary for the constant attention and significant humanitarian assistance to Transcarpathia and its inhabitants. Especially when it comes to vaccination of children, or the purchase of modern medical equipment for hospitals.   

 

The chief doctor of the Svalyava Regional Children’s Home Volodymyr Beyresh also thanked Hungarian patrons and told about the functioning of the institution for orphans, children deprived of parental care, and children with undefined status. At present, in the orphanage, there are 110 children from newborns to 3.5 years old.

In conclusion, Volodymyr Beyresh and Jozsef Buhajla signed the declaration of intent on the purchase and delivery of a new van by the end of 2018, as well as the construction of a shed for firewood drying.
