In Uzhgorod, on Lavrishchev street, an apartment in a five-story building was burning

According to the State Emergencies Service in Transcarpathian region, today, at 01:05, in Uzhgorod, on Lavrishchev street, there was a fire in one of the apartments on the ground floor of a five-story building.

Crews of the 14th state fire and rescue unit were immediately sent at the scene.

In total, 10 rescuers and three units of equipment were employed.

At 01:20, the fire was contained, and at 01:27 it was completely eliminated.

Thanks to the professional actions of the firefighters, the apartment was saved from destruction, but the fire destroyed household items and partially soiled walls of the apartment.

Probably, the fire was caused by short circuit in the wiring, but the final cause and damage are to be established by the law enforcement agencies.

No one was killed or injured in the fire.
