What, where, when in Transcarpathia (15 – 16 of July)

July 15 – sports festival organized by Uzhgorod City Powerlifting Federation and the NGO "Azov" with the support of the Department of Culture, Sports, Youth and Family of Uzhgorod City Council. The program includes competitions in multi-repeat benchpress, weight holding, multi-repeat row, demonstrations of weightlifters. The beginning is at 11.00 (Teatralna Square, Uzhgorod).

July 15 – Fair "Vynogradivski Patsyorky – 4".   9.00 – 15.00 (passage, the city of Vynogradiv).

July 15-16 – Public organization "Pro Cultura Subcarpathica" organizes the "Kuruc-Fest" for the second time. July 15 – horse day (the beginning is at 15.00), and July 16 – "Kuruc-Fest" (at 13.00). The program includes a parade of horse-drawn carts; contest for horses. Archery, horseback riding, folk entertainment, as well as national dishes (free entrance) (stadium "Tisa", the village of Pyiterfolovo, Vynogradiv district).

July 15 – 16 – The Tourist Philharmonic. 12. 00 – 15.00, from 14.00 to 13.00 organ music will be played. Price – 15 UAH (Regional Philharmonic, Uzhgorod).

July 16 – patriotic festival of the ATO participants "Hardened by war". During the festival, demobilized participants of the ATO, members of their families and relatives will be able to get together and relax in one of the most picturesque corners of Transcarpathia. The program includes a concert of amateur groups and sports competitions. The solemn opening of the festival will take place at 14.00 (the territory of Uzhok National Nature Park, the village of Stuzhytsia, Velyky Berezny district).

July 16 – the VIIth colorful ethnic art festival "Lemko Vatra". Representatives of Lemko communities of Transcarpathian region and other regions and countries densely populated by this ethnic group are invited to the festival. Here, visitors will be able to participate in workshops on traditional crafts, games and entertainment, get acquainted with Lemko customs and rituals, lifestyle and cuisine. The festival starts at 14.00, the grand opening and inflammation of the bonfire will take place at 17.00 (stadium, the village of Vorochevo, Perechyn district).

July 16 – closing of the theatrical season with the premiere of the Ukrainian operetta "Sharika" (by the famous playwright and composer Yaroslav Barnych). The beginning is at 18.00 (Regional Music and Drama Theater, Uzhgorod).

July 16 – performances for children. The beginning is at 12.00 and at 16.00 (Drama Theater, Mukachevo).

– "Five" – ​​drawings of a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, famous Mukacheve sculptor Petro Matl. Features 50 paintings on the subject of Stalin’s repressions (art gallery, Khust).

– Small Children’s Railway. The train, which has two cars, runs from the "Molodizhna" station to the "Pidzamkovy" park and back (Uzhgorod).

– Tour "train". Trip duration is 50 minutes. The price is 40 UAH per person. The route runs through Sadova, Dukhnovich streets, Cyril and Methodius sq., Dukhnovich sq., Ilona Zrinyi, Chekhov, Wallenberg, Belyaev, Uzhgorodska, Karpenko-Kary, Rosvyhivska, Danylo Halytsky streets, Peremoha Park. Historic and interesting sights on the route: Reformed Church (1795), the Catholic Cathedral of St. Martin (1904), the Schönborn palace, Drama Theater (1899), Mukachevo City Hall (1904), Grunstein palace, the old bridge with a view of Palanok castle and St. Nicholas monastery, Mukachevo State University, Church of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the largest fountain in Mukachevo, rose garden, Cyril and Methodius Cathedral, Peremoha park (with carousels and Ferris wheel). Departs every day from the monument to the chimney-sweep in the city center at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00 and finishes in the Peremoha park (the city of Mukachevo).

– Congress of hipsters. For 24 consecutive years, thousands of representatives of different subcultures come the Borzhava valley (meadow above the Shypit waterfall, the village of Pylypets, Mizhhirya district).
