Uzhgorod volunteers raised money for a generator for soldiers and won “Golden Pan”

During two days of the gastronomic festival, they managed to raise 19,034 UAH. 2,000 UAH of this amount is the prize from the organizers of the event. Using their creativity, volunteers of the Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers not only raised money for a good cause, but also won in the main festival competition for the most original pancake location.

In addition to the jury prize of the "Uzhgorod Palachinta", the volunteers received the main annual award – Golden Pan. It will join the collection of teddy bears, which are kept in the office of the Movement, because the volunteers are known by the call sign "Bears". And Carpathian bear is the emblem of the Movement and features on all advertising products.

The goal to raise at least 15,000 UAH for a generator was set before the 8th traditional festival "Uzhgorod Palachinta." When they counted the proceeds for two days of the festival, they were pleasantly surprised and decided to share with our smaller brethren. According to the coordinator of the Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers Galina Yartseva, 16,000 UAH will be spent to purchase a generator and cover other needs of the 15th mountain infantry battalion, the rest – 3,034 UAH – will be used for the needs of the animal shelter that recently opened in Uzhgorod. It is also run by volunteers, and they have many needs.
