A Ukrainian tried to smuggle to Hungary 21,000 packs of cigarettes (VIDEO)

At the checkpoint "Tisa", Transcarpathia, border guards of the Chop detachment together with customs officers and officers of the Security Service of Ukraine found in the double bottom of a trailer more than 21,000 packs of cigarettes.

On February 13, the driver of a "Scania", a citizen of Ukraine, who was leaving Ukraine, according to the shipping documents, was carrying 17.5 tons of pallets to Spain. However, officers of the State Border Guard Service suspected that concealed goods might be transported in the vehicle.

As a result, during the inspection of the trailer, a double bottom was found. It was detected using technical means of control. 

After unloading the trailer, border guards and customs workers found in the cache 21,080 packs of cigarettes with Ukrainian excise stamps. Their value is nearly 533 thousand hryvnia, and the count was completed only yesterday. Besides the tobacco products, the vehicle with the trailer were seized too, their value reached about 1.1 million hryvnia.

The found cigarettes, wooden pallets and the truck with the trailer were handed over to officers of the Security Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region for further examination.
