A 24-year-old resident of the village of Kvasovo in Beregovo district tried to sell for 12,000 UAH a small-caliber rifle, but was detained by police officers. The police started criminal proceeding over this incident.
Law enforcement officials received the information that a resident of Beregovo district was looking for a buyer for firearms. The man was detained during the sale of the arsenal.
Officers of Beregovo police in cooperation with operatives of the internal security department in Transcarpathian region detained a 24-year-old inhabitant of the village of Kvasovo in Beregovo district. The man had sold a homemade small-caliber rifled gun with 7 rounds for 12,000 UAH.
The weapons and the money was seized. Criminal proceeding over this incident was initiated under Part 1 of Art.263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of weapons and ammunition). The choice of a pretrial restraint against him is being decided. The weapons and the ammunition was sent for examination.
The pre-trial investigation of the case continues.
