Ukraine’s national men’s fencing team consisting of Anatoliy Herey, Volodymyr Stankevich, Roman Svichkar and Ian Sych finished ninth at the World Universiade in Taipei.
Ukrainians lost in the very first match (at 1/8 finals) against the national team of Kazakhstan. The match ended with a score of 45:36 for the Kazakh fencers (the result of the match is HERE, the overall standings are HERE)
Recall that in the individual competition, Anatoliy Herey from Uzhgorod showed the best result among all Ukrainians (for more details, read the article HERE).
