January 21, in the hall of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic, the variety and brass band gave a concert to the Day of Unification of Ukraine. For the band led by Honored Artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Spivak, such celebration of this holiday is the tradition that the orchestra keeps proudly.
Today, the significance of the holiday is especially pronounced: almost a century later, Ukraine is going through another reunion, although in a struggle against enemy forces, but around common values, including, in particular, the spiritual and cultural ones.
The concert featured exclusively Ukrainian songs, mainly with patriotic motifs. The orchestra performed with leading solo instrumentalists and vocalists of the Philharmonic, as well as talented youth. Those are, in particular, Miroslava Shvakh-Pekar, Irina Filipenko, Artem Kalinich, Daniela Yakobchuk, Daniel Semsichko and Oleksandr Stulishenko.
