Chop border guards detained two “seekers of a better life”

Border guards of the department "Knyahynya" of the Chop detachment detained two citizens of Ukraine who tried to illegally get to Western Europe.

Thus, yesterday, Slovak border guards noticed unknown persons near the border, and immediately notified their Ukrainian colleagues. Wasting no time, law enforcement officers immediately began searching activities. As a result, 150 meters from the state boder, the "green berets" detained a man without documents. He said that he was a citizen of Ukraine. The detainee also admitted that he was heading to Germany in search of a better life.

Another "seeker of happiness" was detained by border guards while trying to overcome the barrier. As usual, the offender had no documents on him, but explained that he was a citizen of Ukraine born in 1991, living in Zaporizhia region.

Both offenders were brought to the detention center in order to establish the circumstances of the offense and draw up procedural documents. As it turned out, the men had already been detained by border guards for attempting to illegally cross the border. Their fate will be decided by the court.
