Triumph of young Uzhgorod karateka in Budapest (PHOTOS)

The other day, the 19th Open Youth Knockdown Karate Championship of Hungary "Knockdown Utánpótlás Magyar Bajnokság XIX Bushido Kupa" took place in the Hungarian capital Budapest.

This competition has traditionally become international, because it is the most prestigious event in the full contact version of karate in Hungary. The competition was attended by over 450 athletes from several countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

Ukraine was represented by two teams from Transcarpathia – Uzhgorod City Shydokan Karate Federation (head – I.Shandra) and Transcarpathian Regional Karate Shydokan Federation (head – M.Hodynets).

Both teams showed really excellent results. Pupils of Igor Shandra, in the fierce duels in their categories, won:

1st place – Bohdan Lenko, Bohdan Vityaz and Valeria Motsa

3rd place – Stepan Kucheynyk and Oleksiy Motyl.

Among the pupils of the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Karate Shydokan Federation, Matviy Ochkovsky and Arsen Teslenko won the first place, Oleksandr Voloshin, Maksym Shyshkanych, Eva Pikul, Maksym Lenko, Yaroslav Kryvko won the second place and Pavlo Kukhar won the third place.
