The police caught a man who was cutting trees in the reserve

A 36-year-old resident of the village of P.Huta in Perechyn district was carrying in a truck ZIL 5 cubic meters of beech wood, which he had cut down on the territory of natural reserve fund. The offender will be prosecuted for crimes against the environment

 

Perechyn police received a report from a forester that unknown persons were illegally cutting wood. The response team of the patrol police and the district officer arrived at the scene.

In the village of P. Huta, the police stopped a truck ZIL without license plates, loaded with timber. A 36-year-old resident of that village was behind the wheel. 

As it turned out, in the forest near the village, in the nature reserve area, the man had illegally cut 4 beech trees for firewood. The total volume of the cut wood is about 5 cubic meters.

The police started criminal proceeding over the illegal felling of trees in the reserve. Investigators are finding out the circumstances of the case.
