Active measures for combating corruption among border guards continue to yield positive results. Thus, yesterday, at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", border guards of the Chop detachment recorded and stopped another attempt to bribe.
A 48-year-old resident of Khust district entering Ukraine as a passenger submitted an expired passport for check. To cross the border freely and to avoid administrative responsibility, the man offered a serviceman $ 50.
This fact was reported to Uzhgorod National Police Department to make a legal decision on possible signs of a crime envisaged by Part 1 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Offer, promise or giving of an undue benefit to an officer".
