Uzhgorod “Ripper” was sent to Beregovo for a mental examination

Recall that after the slaughterer was released, activists demanded answers from the police.

Today, the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region reported that the "Ripper" had been sent to Beregovo for a mental examination. 

"The offender is charged with cruelty to animals.

The 27-year-old resident of Uzhgorod is suspected of a crime under Part 1 of Art.299 (Cruelty to animals) of the Criminal Code Ukraine.

Yesterday in the evening, in the administrative building of Uzhgorod Police Department, the investigator notified the accused that he was suspected of a crime.

Today, the suspect in the brutal killing of a dog was brought to Beregovo where specialists will conduct his psychiatric examination. The examination was arranged to establish the mental health of that person. 

The pre-trial investigation of the case continues. Its results will be announced to the media and the public", – the police reported.
