The Mangalica Festival (a Hungarian pig species) was opened in Budapest, on 12 February. The meat of this animal is highly valued. Despite the high fat content, it is cholesterol-free!
The rainy Friday of February motivates the citizens and the guests of the capital to degustate. Meat products, traditional Hungarian pálinka (fruit brandy), wines and other titbits are prepared for the visitors.
As we know, Transcarpathia is the very close to Hungary. This region has its own meat festival. However, the main heroes of the festival are not the "delivers" but the butchers. Moreover, the atmosphere of the event fundamentally differs from that held in the European capital.
We remind that the festival will last for three days in the Hungarian capital.
