Hungarians spare no means to fight Transcarpathian smugglers

The National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary has purchased a hovercraft. It will be given to the customs officers working near the Ukrainian border.

The news was presented by the Yevropeyska pravda with a link to the Factor Hungarian edition.

Smugglers constantly transport cigarettes through the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. The level of the Tisza river sometimes drops to such an extent that smugglers can almost cross it on foot.

Now the customs officers will be able to chase and detain the criminals easier. The transport can move both on land and ice.

The hovercraft’s cost was 186 800 euro.
