In Uzhgorod district, the police detained illegal migrants from Sri Lanka

On December 16, a resident of the village of Vovkove reported to the police that some foreigners were walking towards his village. 

Officers of Uzhgorod district police, operatives of the Anti-Human Trafficking Police Department and officers of the Migration Service arrived at the scene. On the old road, the police officers stopped six men who identified themselves as citizens of Sri Lanka.

The police referred the detainees to the Chop border guard detachment to ascertain the circumstances of their arrival to our region and the persons who helped them in this.
