According to the site, on Friday, January 16, around 11.00, on the highway 1/18, near Strečno, in the direction of Žilina, a serious accident happened. In addition to police, firefighters and medics, a rescue helicopter was working at the scene.
The exact cause of the accident is being investigated, but we know that three cars, a van and a truck collided on the road. After the accident, two wounded people, ended up stuck in a car Skoda Octavia. Moreover, the car began to burn, but other drivers, who had suffered less, extinguished the fire.
Victims of the accident received various injuries, in particular one woman was transported to hospital by helicopter. A 49-year-old woman died from her injuries in hospital.
