“Lords of the Sound”: no goosebumps

Yesterday, Kyiv orchestra "Lords of the Sound" visited Uzhgorod. First, the musicians met with journalists and said they they wanted to come to Uzhgorod very much, because during their previous visits the audience was extraordinary.

This time they brought almost new program.   It consisted of 20 soundtracks from famous films ("The Great Gatsby", "Fantomas", "Harry Potter," "Mission Impossible", "Sherlock Holmes," "Pirates of the Caribbean", "50 shades of gray," "Amelie", etc.).

The program lasted 2 hours, but the audience was not tired. On the contrary, they showed their delight with applause not only to the music, but also to the actors from the films. Because every piece performed by the orchestra was accompanied with excerpts from films. It was like watching a movie with a great music. Often, with "live" characters – conductors Vitaly Sarazhynsky and Vitaly Fizer would disguise as Fantomas, Jack Sparrow from "Pirates of the Caribbean" and others. And the soloist had a gorgeous voice! The audience was delighted, and called the orchestra for an encore.

However, I personally did not have goosebumps. Maybe because some movie soundtracks were monotonous, maybe because of the flashing light, or maybe because of the "hustle" on the stage which distracted from the music. Honestly, I want to listen to the music hit parade "HOLLYWOOD" performed by the symphony orchestra of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic. I want to feel goosebumps…
