Hungary refused to give Ukraine a package of permits for cargo transportation

Hungary refused to grant Ukraine a package of 45 thousand permits for international cargo transportation that the Ukrainian party had requested during the negotiations.

This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Infrastructure.

"In 2016, Hungarians offer to exchange permits for the first quarter of 2016 in the amount of 6,500 pieces that does not satisfy the Ukrainian party, as it is much less than the real needs of Ukrainian carriers", – it is written in the statement of the Ministry.

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine jointly with the National Association of International Carriers ASMAP insisted on setting a quota of permits for 2016 at the level of 2014, namely: the total number is 45,250 permits for each party, including 20,000 bilateral permits, 21,000 transit permits, 2,750 permits for transportation to / from third countries and 1,500 permits for irregular passenger traffic," – the Ministry informed.

Also, the Ministry noted that, as a compromise, the Hungarian party was offered to exchange 25,000 transit free permits for each party.

Currently, the Ministry of National Development of Hungary refuses to accept the compromise offers of the Ukrainian party on the number of permits for international transportation between the two countries in 2016.
