Rakhiv deputies suggest to change tariffs for electricity

Members of Rakhiv District Council suggest to set the electricity tariff for residents of mountain settlements without gas network equal to that for residents of residential buildings whose apartments are not equipped with gas supply.

The relevant statement was addressed to the government and the National Commission regulating energy sector. Currently, residents of mountain villages pay for electricity at the rate of 30.84 kopiykas per kilowatt. It is proposed to set the tariff for residents of villages without gas network equal to that for residents of residential buildings whose apartments are not equipped with gas supply – 23.7 kopiykas per kilowatt.

According to deputies of Rakhiv District Council it will contribute to reducing social tension, improvement of ecological condition, prevention of massive deforestation.
