The anniversary of the People’s Defense Organization “Carpathian Sich” will be celebrated in Uzhgorod (Announcement)

The sports and patriotic union "Carpathian Sich" invites all patriots of Transcarpathia and friends from Ukraine to join the celebration of the 76th anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Defense Organization Carpathian Sich.

The military organization Carpathian Sich is an example of heroism of the Ukrainian Nation.  "Carpathian Sich" is the army that will never be forgotten.

Even in a hopeless situation, the soldiers of the Carpathian Sich refused to surrender and continued defending our Transcarpathia from Hungarian occupation.

The gathering for the March of Glory is planned for 17.00, near the monument to Taras Shevchenko  (Narodna Sq.). After that, there will be "The evening of revolutionary art." 
The event will be held to promote Ukrainian culture and national ideas. The beginning is at 19.30, in the "Prosvita" House (Grendzha-Donsky Sq., 3, behind the Faculty of Chemistry, former House of Officers) 

In the evening, there will be the presentation of literary and nationalist project "The Spirit of the Nation" with the participation of:
 Yuriy Ruf (Lviv)
 Igot Klymovych (Stry)
 Igor Boychuk (Ivano-Frankivsk)
 Zagrava (Lviv)
 Olena Shynkaruk (Kryvy Rih) 

 Also, there will be performances of talented Sich members with poetry and songs, some – with their own works.

We will show that contemporary Ukrainians honor their heroes!
