Temporarily imprisoned and prisoners for life will vote in the center of Uzhgorod

On April 18, there was an extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee of Uzhgorod City Council to pass the decision "On the polling station".

According to the letter of the Transcarpathian penal institution of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region dd. March 14, the Executive Committee of the City Council decided to propose the Electoral Commission of the constituency number 69 to establish a special polling station on a temporary basis in the Transcarpathian penal institution – detention facility of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine department in Transcarpathian region (№ 9) at: Uzhgorod,  Dovzhenko st., 8a / (remand prison).

The fact is that there are 2 units at this address: for those serving life imprisonment and the actual remand prison. The former have permanent polling stations, and for the latter category, temporary stations will be established according to the decision.
