EIT in Ukraine is on the verge of collapse

External independent testing is on the verge of collapse due to lack of funding.

This was announced by the director of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment Igor Likarchuk, the Ukrinform reported.

"There is a real threat for external independent testing in Ukraine in 2014. Currently, we need 9.48 million hryvnias," – he said.

According Likarchuk, the state began to allocate money for EIT, but it’s still not enough.

"We have received nearly two million hryvnias, but we still need nine million", – he said.

According to Likarchuk, as of today, 93% of notebooks with the tests are supposed to be produced at the center of the evaluation, however they had money only for 39%.

"The line, which prints notebooks, has been idle since March 20", – he explained.
