Database of artists appeared in the library (PHOTOS)

Today, October 24, at 17.00 in the reading room of the Transcarpathian Regional Universal Scientific Library,there was the presentation of the database "Painters of Transcarpathia".

The event was advertised in the social network Facebook. As we were told by the chief bibliographer of the library Yevheniya Napuda, the infromation about 180 Transcarpathian artists is already available on the website.

Yevheniya regulary updates the database and says that Transcarpathian artists are free to use this source of information, which in turn will promote their work.

Another interesting fact is that all users from Ukraine and other countries, who are interested in fine arts, have access to the information provided on the library site (short biographies and photographs of works), which will promote Transcarpathian art in general (the database includes works of both contemporary artists and founders of Transcarpathian school of painting).

Recall that in the social network VKontakte (where there are more than five hundred Transcarpathian art lovers), they have also gathered a considerable collection of works by the founders and leading Transcarpathian painters, as well as archival photographs of the artists.
