At the international checkpoint "Tisa", border guards together with customs officers precluded the illegal transportation of cigarettes across the border.
Yesterday, a car "Ford" with Ukrainian registration plates driven by our compatriot arrived at the border and the customs control points "Tisa". The Ukrainian, en route to Hungary, chose the simplified control lane – "green corridor".
During the joint review, the officers found 360 packs of cigarettes "Fest 7", "NZ Gold Super Slims", "Lifa", hidden in the specially made cache in the fuel tank of the car.
The cigarettes were seized accorfing to the law, they were evaluated at 4,320 UAH. The same fate befell the "Ford", which was assessed at almost 16,000 UAH, the press service of the Chop border guard detachment reported.
