In two days vodka will be more expensive! But cognac and wine, for some reason, will not
On March 1, the minimum cost of half-liter bottle of vodka in Ukraine will increase by 5.6% - to 30.1 UAH.
This was announced by the "Ukrhorilka" association, informed "Interfax-Ukraine".
As noted in the report, this is provided by the Resolution of the Cabinet dd. November 7, 2012.
The Association points out that, according to the document, since March 1, the minimum retail price for vodka and liquors will be UAH 150.5 per liter of 100% alcohol vs. current UAH 142.5 per liter of 100% alcohol, wholesale price - UAH 101.6 per liter of 100% alcohol vs. UAH 96.18 per liter of 100% alcohol.
"The Resolution does not provide for increase of the minimum prices for cognac and wine," - quote from the statement.
"Ukrhorilka" remind that according to the law, the alcohol trade at prices below the minimum one is punishable by a fine of not less than five thousand hryvnias.
Interesting fact: the Ukrainian alcoholic holding Global Spirits in 2012 boosted exports of vodka in Russia by 63% in comparison with 2011 year - up to 2.71 million dal.
