Across Ukraine citizens began preparing for the end of the world predicted by the Maya, in particular they began to purchase food and places in bunkers.
On the rental housing market a host of offers for bunkers at varying prices appeared, writes Komsomolskaya Pravda. In particular, in the Kharkiv region there are at least two such public offerings – one of them is in the city of Pervomaysky.
"For those who want to protect themselves and their loved ones from unexpected events that can happen 21.12.12. we offer beds in radiation shelter with autonomous heating, lighting and ventilation. Seats are limited! "- says the ad.
For two weeks stay in the bunker the organizers ask 10 thousand hryvnias, for children there is a 50% discount. According to the host of the bunker, Volodymyr Ivanovich, it’s inexpensive, because in Kyiv they ask 10 thousand dollars per person.
Meanwhile, in Dnipropetrovsk students organized a bunker with the whole ceremony and invite everyone to join.
"We are preparing a real ceremony. First we will purchase the victuals – canned food, water, chocolate bars, booze. Then we will put everything under the ground and officially close the door. Next – ritual prayers and the last supper. If the end of the world comes, and we survive, we will start creating a new world. Therefore it is important that men and women were in equal numbers" – said the initiator of the plan Andriy Ilchenko.
Besides, everyone is invited to the only military hotel in Transcarpathian region, which is built on the foundation of the bunker of the Second World War period. The price of VIP-bunker per day is 200 UAH, around New Year the prices will rise.
In Odessa, on December 21 there will be the final of the First Ukrainian KVN league and flash mob involving young people wearing costumes of stalkers in gas masks. However, most Ukrainians prefer to prepare for the event in advance, so they buy candles, coal, food and firewood.
"We already met one end of the world in May 2000. Then our whole family went to the cottage, and we were sitting in an underground garage. We were drinking red wine. I think this time we will do the same," – said a businessman Volodymyr Militskyy.
It is noteworthy that in one of the offices of Zaporozhzhya employees agreed that they would come to work later so that if the end of the world comes, they would meet it with their families.
As it was reported yesterday, November 22, in Simferopol they organized free courses to prepare for the end of the world, which, some believe, may come December 21.
