On Thursday, November 8, at 11.00 at the tasting room of Uzhhorod Castle there will be the presentation and tasting of new disease-resistant varieties of dessert apples grown in Transcarpathia.
The tasting will be attended by farmers, representatives of processing companies, and corporations with a full cycle, from cultivation of apples to sales of the finished products.
The experts will talk about the advantages and the economic profitability of growing apples in Ukraine, opportunities of domestic market sales and export in comparison with other European countries. They will also pay attention to highlighting the advantages of using disease-resistant varieties of apples.
Thus, during the practical part there will be tasting and evaluating of new disease-resistant varieties of dessert apples. The assessment will be carried out using specially designed questionnaires with a 10-point scale. The assessment results will be announced immediately after the tasting.
Journalists will be able to communicate with farmers and experts from different regions of Ukraine, as well as the director of Holland Plant Ukraine Rudolf Banatfi and the financial director Eve Pentek.
