The International Memorial Football Tournament among the best mountain settlements of Transcarpathia football teams with the teams from Russia and Hungary participation was held on May 26-27. The competition was dedicated to the memory of the technical types’ master sports, the woodcutters’ competition worldwide champions in Montreal (Canada, 1967), Heroes of the Socialist Labour Chus Ivan Vasyliovych and Shorbat Vasyl Yuriiovych.
The NNP ‘Synevyr’ team participated in this annual tournament with the assistance of the director Mykola Derbak and the trade union head Fedir Matichyn. Eight teams from the mountain villages of Bogdan, Dubove, Lopukhovo, Synevyr, Ternovo, Ust-Chorna in Transcarpathia and teams from Gatchyn of Leningrad region (Russia) and Batalon that is in Hungary were involved in the competition.
Competitions were held in two groups. The NNP ‘Synevyr’ team had to play with players from the villages of Bogdan, Dubove and Lopukhovo. In its group synevyr players gained the leadership went out in the semifinal, where they waited for the game with a team of Ust-Chorna. The hosts won the competition of our dwellers with a score of 1:0. The NNP ‘Synevyr’ took an honorable third place in the tournament table competition, which also pleases.
