Today the Ministry of Social Policy held a meeting, which was attended by the Head of the International Organization of Migration in Ukraine Manfred Profazi and the National Coordinator of the International Labour Office in Ukraine Vasyl Kostrytsya. Presided the first deputy of Minister of Social Policy Vasyl Nadraga, said UBR. Theme of the meeting are issues, requirements and needs of migrants, interstate coordination of social protection of immigrants and protection of rights and freedoms of Ukrainian seamen.
Vasyl Nadraha, when opening the meeting, expressed his hope that decision taken on the meeting will help to develop offers for Cabinet in the formation and realization of the state policy of Ukraine in the sphere of labor migration.
In particular, one of the main problems in the Ministry of Social Policy is considered to be the extension of the base with countries where work immigrants from Ukraine. Also great expectations are imposed on the developed by the ministry law ‘On Foreign Labour Migration’, which is designed to significantly influence the situation.
This document, in particular provides the legal foundations and principles of the state policy of Ukraine in the sphere of foreign labor migration.
