MIA believes that the explosions in Lviv are related to the events in Transcarpathia

The police believe that explosions near two police stations in Lviv are related to the situation in Transcarpathia.

This is stated in the report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In connection with the bombings, Lviv police is working in robust security regime. The police are looking for the offenders.

"The Ministry of Internal appeals to all citizens to provide all available information on these crimes, because in the event of further escalation of this violence, not only police officers, but also civilians, in particular women and children can become victims," – the statement says.

Criminal proceedings over explosions were opened on the grounds of a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art.258 (act of terrorism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of five to ten years.
