Members of Uzhgorod DEC, it seems, do not know the laws

The Deputy Mayor of Uzhgorod Yaroslav Shafar said that he was dissatisfied with the work of the district election commission, the Prozakhid informed.

"The situation at all stations is being monitored. The election is going on normally. Intrigue is a normal thing. But we have to take notice of the problems. In particular, it is a poor preparation of the DEC. There’s a non-working environment there.
The DEC Chairman is the Deputy Director of the Zakarpattyaoblenergo Gabor (Zakarpattyaoblenergo was long headed by the candidate Vasyl Kovacs. – Ed.). And the secretary is from the Party of Regions.
They allow themselves to be pretty rough with candidates’ agents. Also they did not allow European television reporters to shoot, saying that they had nothing to film there. Maybe things will change in the afternoon. I ask journalists to help each other and to react. The Europeans turned around and left, but we have to work" – Shafar said.
