“Manneken Pis” – now in Uzhgorod! (PHOTOS)

Worldwide famous monument "Manneken Pis" (better known as "pissing boy") has become the symbol of success and prosperity. The most famous sculpture and fountain of this kind is located in Brussels – the heart of the United Europe’s political power. 

In total, there are 15 such sculptures in 8 countries of the world. Those are Belgium, France, Spain, Japan, Congo, USA, Brasil, Ecuador. 

Now a similar monument to the most famous boy in the world will be in Uzhgorod. The author of the mini-sculpture is Mykhailo Kolodko. Our boy is made in a stylized Ukrainian comic style. Uzhgorod "Manneken Pis" has a scalp lock.

This sculpture is the final element of the drinking water pump room Fontanus Cilicia, where anyone can take an artesian water (with a high content of silicon). 

Uzhgorod "Manneken Pis" is made of bronze, the pedestal is made of the original volcanic tuff brought from Armenia (Cilicia province). 

The "Manneken Pis" is located in the symbolic place – the central European crossroad: 1 km to Slovakia, 20 – to Hungary and the distance to 12 European capitals is shorter than that to Kyiv.
