Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Specialized Anti-Corruption and Regional Prosecutor’s Office have notified a judge of one of the district courts of Transcarpathia caught on bribes that he is suspected.
Law enforcers recorded that the judge demanded from a local resident five hundred US dollars for releasing him from administrative responsibility for driving a car in a state of intoxication.
The man was to give the money through an intermediary – a lawyer. Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine and the prosecutor’s office detained the lawyer on August 18 when he was receiving the bribe and notifed him that he is suspected of committing crimes under Part 5 of Art. 27, Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
On September 15, the judge was notified of being suspected under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
