In Transcarpathian region, a resident of Mukachevo blew up a grenade on his kitchen garden

During an argument with his wife, a 49-year-old man on his own garden threw an F-1 grenade, which detonated. The pieces of the grenade and flares, found in the man’s apartment, had been brought by him from the ATO area, where he had served from October 2014 to January 2015.
The report about an explosion in front of her own summer house at the exit from the city of Mukachevo, on I. Franko Street was received from a 46-year-old resident of the city. At the scene, the police investigative team, explosives experts found out that the resident of Mukachevo in a state of heavy alcoholic intoxication, had blown out a grenade during an argument with his wife.
At the scene of the crime, they found 5 flares and 3 metal fragments of a hand grenade F-1.
The investigator of the city police registered this incident in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations with the classification under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) and under Part 4 of Art. 296 (hooliganism). The confiscated items were sent to the Research Forensic Centre at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region for examination. The 49-year-old man was sent for psychiatric examination. Pre-trial investigation over this incident continues.
