On December 8, around 17.00, an accident with victims occurred on the road between the villages of Bushtyno in Tyachiv district and Vyshkovo in Khust district.
43-year-old driver of a car "Nissan" with Slovak registration, a resident of the village of Lypcha in Khust district, hit two pedestrians who were walking on the roadside. As a result of the hit, a 82-year-old woman died from her injuries on the spot and a 53-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries of the head.
The police determined that the driver was driving the car while being intoxicated. 1.1 ppm of alcohol was found in his blood.
Investigators opened criminal proceeding over this incident under Part 2 of Art.286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic rules, which resulted in the death of the victim). The culprit was taken to temporary detention facility. The car was taken to the impound lot of Tyachiv police.
