In Irshava district, a bicyclist was killed in an accident

The accident occurred at the entrance to Irshava from the village of Siltse. A 40-year-old cyclist was killed in the accident.

Irshava district police department received a report from the duty doctor of the CDH about an accident with victims.

The investigative team was sent t the scene. Law enforcement officers found out that the 40-year-old cyclist was moving in the middle of the road toward the village of Siltse. He was hit by a 31-year-old driver of a "Zhiguli". The blow sent the cyclist onto the oncoming lane, where another car ran over him… He died at the scene.

The preliminary cause of the tragedy is disregard of the traffic rules by the cyclist. He was riding a bicycle at night-time without reflectors and in the middle of the road, which led to the accident.

The cars were taken to impound lot of Irshava district police. The circumstances of the fatal accident are being established by investigators.
