Draft decision on Uzhgorod budget forecast for 2021-2022 was supported by the City Council deputies

At today’s meeting of the regular session of the Uzhgorod City Council, the deputies supported the draft decision on the Uzhgorod city budget forecast for 2021 and 2022. 
According to the document, the purpose of the forecast is to introduce medium-term budget forecasting to establish the link between the strategic development goals of the city and the budget capabilities.

The main goals of the budget policy of Uzhgorod in 2021-2022 are:

– ensuring revenues to the city budget taking into account the positive dynamics in comparison with previous years; 

– increasing the transparency and efficiency of budget management by using elements of the programmatic method of planning and fullfillment of local budgets; 

– full implementation of expenditures for the remuneration to employees of public institutions in accordance with the terms of remuneration and the amount of minimum wages, other social payments, as well as payments for energy and utilities; 

– implementation of expenditures of local budgets in accordance with social standards; 

– ensuring the necessary financial proportions in accordance with the plan of economic and social development of the region; 

– determining the city budget revenue growth reserves; 

– stimulation of the investment and innovation component of the city budget development.
